Patrick Litchfield, Paul and Talitha Getty, Marrakesh, Morocco, for Vogue, January 1969
This is one of my favorite photos.  I remember seeing it in InStyle back when the magazine was new and I thought I was so cool for reading it (around middle school).  I wanted to look like the woman in the photo (minus the balloon pants…I don’t think they appealed to me, even back then).  I asked my mother about the couple and she said in a very disapproving manner that the woman had OD’ed.  I was still intrigued.  I am still intrigued.  And on a related note, I want to go to Morocco NOW.
