“Hot at Hopkins” Questionnaire
I was recently looking for something on my computer and I came across the questionnaire I had to fill out when I was chosen for “Hot at Hopkins” my junior year (c. ’05-06). ”Hot at Hopkins” was a weekly column in the school newspaper that featured a single male and female. After you were nominated for the great honor, you filled out a questionnaire, which was then turned into an article (it was actually more of something your friends did to embarrass you). Unfortunately (or rather fortunately…haha), the final article is no longer available online, but here’s the prelim:
1) Name: Shane ****** ***** *****
2) Year: Junior
3) Hometown: NYC
4) Major: History of Art [Hopkins pretentious name for the major, not mine].
5) Height: 5’1
6) Hair color: highlighted
7) Eye color: green
8) Extracurricular activities: tutorial project tutor, docent at Homewood house, active in art history club.
9) What song puts you in the mood?
Sexual healing [2010 update - 505 by the Arctic Monkeys and Je t’aime moi non plus by Serge Gainsbourg & Jane Birkin]

Arrogance, Young Republicans, and men with jewelry.
12) What’s the biggest turn-on?
Guys who play instruments. [2010 - also like guys in suits, but this seems a bit contrary to my proscription of Republicans]
13) Which characteristics does your ideal mate possess?
Intelligent, charitable, likes dancing and foreign films.
14) What’s your ideal date? Share all the juicy details:
A movie at the Charles followed by dinner at the tapas restaurant and a walk around the Inner Harbor.
15) What’s your weirdest habit?
Dressing up my stuffed monkey.
16) How soon after a first date would you try to “score”?
Not within 48 hours.
17) What was your most embarrassing dating experience?
I haven’t had any embarrassing experiences.
18) What celebrity would you most like to date? Which celebrity would you
most like to have sex with?
